Lavinia Urban
Author Bio:
Lavinia originally grew up in Cheshire and now
lives in a small village just outside of Edinburgh with her husband and two
daughters.
Writing has always been something that Lavinia have loved since an early age
but it wasn't until 2010 when the idea came to her to write Erin the Fire
Goddess.
Lavinia chose to name the main character and her sister after her two
daughters, who inspire Lavinia to write every day.

Erin Tait is a 15 year old girl, born with a
birthmark covering the left side of her face. She moves to her parent’s home town of Galladale, where all is not what it
seems. From day one, Erin is bullied by Jessica Watson, for looking at Sean Jackson. Why is she trying to keep Erin away? It’s hard when Sean goes out of his way to
talk to Erin, causing the bullying to get worse. Erin is lonely and scared; she doesn’t know what to do. Can she control the
fire inside?

At the age of 14, Kasey-Ray Thompson lost her
mother to cervical cancer. Her father, the one person she needed to be there
for her, was spiralling into the depths of depression. Just when she thought
her life couldn’t get any worse, he died a year later.
Kasey-Ray's whole world has come crashing down around her leaving her an
orphan. The only relative she knows is her gran who is in a care home with
Alzheimer’s. Her hopes of staying in Scotland with her best friend Lauren and
her family are quickly dashed when a woman from social services announces that
she is going to stay with a grandfather she had never met. Even worse, he lives
in a small town called Alimanti, thousands of miles away in another country.
Her grandfather’s cabin is in the middle of nowhere. They have no electricity,
no internet, or any other modern technologies. As if that wasn't bad enough,
her new school is almost two hours away.
Kasey-Ray has lots of questions and her grandfather is refusing to answer them.
He has clocks everywhere that go off at the same time every day, 4:30am, and
Kasey-Ray can’t figure out why.
She sees a man in the woods who tells her that he shouldn’t have brought her
here because they will take what is hers. What does he mean?
Kasey-Ray needs answers before time runs out.

There are many words that have complete different
meanings in other countries.
Take the words Fanny Pack or Nosh. I giggle like a naughty school girl when I
hear these words.
Then there is the whole thing of..... What is a Spotted Dick?
Well why not find out in this short read that I wrote as though I were sitting
down talking to friends.

forward and helping fellow authors out.
